“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”
This is the quote our yoga instructor left us with today. She is so amazing and always seems to “hit home” with me at the perfect time, with the right things to say.
The class started with her asking us what we see when we look up. The heavens is what I see, but I probably wouldn’t have had the same answer a year ago. And today especially (40 mph winds) you would see waving flags, flying debris, leaves blowing, airplanes, etc. etc. you could go on and on…
What do you see?
Did anyone simply say “blue sky”?
I know, it’s the obvious. But the point is, sometimes we are just too rushed to notice the “simple”.
We live in a world of texting, and racing here and racing there, picking up kids, dropping off kids, running errands, blah blah. We know we are doing it, yet we KEEP doing it.
I’m not asking you to sit all Zen-Like and stare at the sky all afternoon (that would be nice though, wouldn’t it?!)…… I’m just saying take time.
To think. To notice. To live.
* sidenote….. My daughter came home from school today singing “may there always be sunshine, may there are always be blue skies, may there always be love, may there always be me”. I couldn’t have said it better 🙂
